this masterplan is environmentally friendly since it follows the natural topography; the landscape remains unchanged. the brief required 1000 new residential units; a mixture of detached single family homes, terraced houses and apartment tower blocks. the road, connecting town center to the new development, is planned with higher density where a range of services; shops, community centres, etc., can be found. towards the open landscape, the density decreases. the three development phases are zoned by green areas, they also form the three construction phases. the gentle transition into the landscape creates a picture of a development that follows the natural contours of the land.
